SEN Teaching Assistant to start in January 2024

Working Hours:
Mon - Fri (8:30am - 4:00pm)

Pay Rate:
£80 - £100/day

SEN Teaching Assistant

If you are looking to make an impact on the lives of children and young adults with Autism, look no further The school are looking to recruit Teaching Assistants for the new year and fast.

Key Responsibilities:

Individualised Support: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs, implementing strategies outlined in Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

Inclusive Learning Environment: Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment, ensuring the engagement and participation of all students.

Behavioural Support: Support students in managing behaviour and promoting positive interactions within the school community.

Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure a collaborative approach to student development.

Adaptability: Be flexible and adaptable in responding to the changing needs of students, providing assistance in various classroom activities.

Qualifications and Skills:

Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant is desirable.
Understanding of various special educational needs, including but not limited to autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students.
