**Deputy Manager - Nursing Home - Nursing care for Older and Younger People
£23.50 per hour / £49,000
Witney, Oxfordshire**
The Client
Eclypse Recruitment are looking to recruit a Deputy Manager for an elderly nursing home in Witney, Oxfordshire. The home provides nursing care for older residents alongside dedicated dementia care. There is also a specialist unit for younger people withdisabilities.

The Role

Your role as Deputy Home Manager will be to support the registered Home Manager in all aspects of the home's management, including taking temporary or complete charge during the absence of the registered manager.

You will support with the overall managementof care within the home, whilst also promoting and maintaining the highest quality of service for our residents through development of person centred care plans.

Key responsibilities of a Deputy Manager

Take management of the home in the Managers absence
Administer and order medicines as required by the home in accordance with the homes' policies and procedures
Assist the Manager to produce and maintain systems and procedures for auditing
Provide support and professional supervision to care staff and nursing staff
Ensure effective communication with relatives and other healthcare professionals
Assessing and responding to clinical risk
A good understanding of the CQC

Skills and experience:

Understand care planning processes and have experience of writing care plans
Experience of working with the elderly
Excellent planning and organisational skills
Ability to lead, coach and develop staff
Ability to contribute to, monitor and implement changes that improvement service delivery and outcomes for residents

Criteria

Registered Nurse qualified
RGN/RMN
Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) registration
Experience in an elderly nursing home
Strong leadership and previous management experience

Salary

This is a full time position working 40 hours per week at £23.50 per hour equates to just under £49,000 - your hours will be split clinically and supernumery.
