Solution Designer

As a Barclays Solution Designer, it will fall to you to take responsibility for the creation of solutions for the journeys which are going to be more adaptable to future ways of working for the bank's customers.

As part of your new role, you will provide technical support, enabling the technical readiness required to deliver Programme outcomes.

You will also work across multiple technical teams across channels and platforms, supporting the Programme manager with detailed technical plans and reporting analysis to identify solutions delivery.

What will you be doing?:


  • Interacting with staff at all levels across the business and IT functions
  • Setting project standards and governance in wider forum of stakeholders
  • Developing high level design and buying approval from all stake holders
  • Planning in relation to technical delivery
  • Providing plans and recommendations on tools and technologies for migration
  • Supporting Business during UAT and arranging knowledge transfers
  • Supporting teams in development and test phases while reviewing their work

What we're looking for:


  • Understanding of technology and API Led connectivity
  • Ability to assess the impact of the business requirements
  • Ability to define the Architecture Vision
  • Ability to design by collaborating with various design teams and business

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Has analyzed and documented specific projects' business requirements and strategic resolution initiatives
  • Able to describe alternative problemsolving approaches and their optimal uses
  • Experience in delivery of largescale complex migration projects
  • Banking knowledge preferred so that delivery can be tracked

Where will you be working?
You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford.

The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations.
