The Team

The Competition & Regulatory Team advises on all aspects of competition law, including merger control, FDI/NSIA, cartel investigations, vertical agreements, supply and pricing issues, dominance/abuse of dominance, private enforcement (damages claims), subsidy control and public procurement.

The Team won Legal Business Competition Team of the Year in 2022 and advises on a wide range of transactional, commercial/non-contentious and contentious matters.

Working closely with the Competition Partners and involving a high level of client contact, the work will include transactional/merger control, FDI/NSIA matters, investigations and regulatory and contentious matters.

The junior associate/associate will also be expected to contribute to business development and client pitches.

Responsibilities

Proactively manage own files and support the partners
Support senior associates in the Team
Liaising with clients and handling matters with the appropriate sensitivity

Key Skills & Experience

Qualified lawyer with 3 years' good experience in relevant competition work and with particular experience in dealing with the CMA on merger control and investigations
Experienced in carrying out complex merger control risk analysis and FDI/NSIA assessments and notifications
Technical excellence
Enthusiastic team player with commitment to quality and client care
Good case management skills
Marketing and business development experience
Excellent academic record
