Position Type:
Full Time (Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week)


Location:
Hybrid - 3 days per week Stockport Office, 2 days homeworking


Salary:
£23, ,000 (depending on experience)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join our team.

This will be a varied role, that offers a fantastic opportunity for an individual to work in a fast-paced growing organisation with the opportunity to progress their career as the business expands.


What you'll be doing:


  • Daily management of the purchase ledger and sales ledger mailbox
  • Process purchase ledger invoices and maintaining the creditor ledger by resolving supplier queries
  • Monitor and manage aged creditors list by suggesting payments
  • Credit control, issuing customer statements, chasing debt and attending debt review meetings
  • Preparation of monthly bordereaux invoices and liaising with key customers
  • Being the key contact to work between customer service team and finance to resolve customer queries
  • Monitoring debtor and creditor ledgers to ensure accuracy of input
  • Uploading and reconciling monthly bill runs, raising ad hoc bills when required
  • Assist in monthly reconciliations to the bank, and the expenses reconciliation process
  • Constant process and control review to look for efficiency and control environment improvements.
  • Other ad hoc reporting tasks as required

  • Organised, motivated and efficient individual
  • The ability to export, analyse and update data in large volumes
  • Excellent Microsoft Skills, with advanced level excel skills (demonstrated use of formulas Vlookup, pivot tables)
  • The ability to work as a team with a common goal
  • Being able to solve problems in a logical manner, thereby rectifying issues speedily and efficiently.

  • Previous experience of purchase ledger and reconciliations beneficial
  • Clear and practical understanding of business processes
  • Ability to be able to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines
  • Be comfortable communicating at all levels both internally and externally
  • To be able to act on your own initiative
  • Possess good organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Be extremely accurate in work undertaken with a keen attention to detail
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads
  • A desire to contribute to the development of an ambitious company
