Description
Responsible for the support of the Tradespeople (Bricklayer, Plasterer, Carpenter etc). Ensures that the work area is fully prepared to ensure they can work efficiently and safely.


Priorities

  • Attend all Health and Safety Training and adhere to all instructions thereafter
  • Understand the requirements of the line manager and work to assist him
  • Understand the requirements of the Professional Tradesmen
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the site and what is to be built / renovated
  • Use your skills and training to work on your own or lead a team in your skills

KPI's

  • Carry out production duties within your skills and training and within targeted hours
  • Work within targets and assist others to achieve targets
  • Ensure materials are located in the correct position by assisting with the unloading of supplier vehicles as required, or directing driver to the correct unloading position.
  • Is aware of stock of essential materials and reports any potential shortfall
  • Carry out basic preparation of materials as directed by the Professional Tradesman
  • Liaise with and assist other Site labourers to ensure Site runs efficiently
  • Ensure work areas are kept in a clean and safe condition as directed by the manager responsible for Health and Safety on site.
  • Carry out all ad hoc tasks as directed by the Professional Tradesman or other members of the Site Management Team
  • Work towards relevant NVQ if desired to assist in career progression
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety requirements, policies and procedures

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary contract, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm

Part-time hours: 39 per week


Salary:
£8.29-£10.22 per hour
