Hours:
Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 4:00pm and Friday 8:30 to 3:00pm, working term time plus two weeks

We are a regional training provider seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual for the position of Functional Skills/English and Maths Tutor based at our Blackpool centre.

You will have experience of the delivery and assessment of Functional Skills ranging from Pre-entry Level to Level 2 in Mathematics and English, and delivery of the GCSE English and Maths curriculum.

Reporting directly to the Head of Centre your main duties to include:
The responsibility for the delivery, administration and assessment of courses offered by the centre.

Preparation of schemes of work, lesson plans, learning materials, resources and associated student support schedules.

Preparation of reports and statistics as required to contribute to the centre quality assurance process.

Developing, organising and delivering new educational and curricular initiatives undertaken by the centre as appropriate.

Participation in both internal and external verification procedures when required.


Essential Criteria:
Experience of working in an educational or training environment.

Experience of delivering Functional Skills experience of working with learners with different learning needs.

ICT skills to operate tracking and management systems effectively (the ability to use Microsoft Office is essential).


Salary:
£26,000.00 per year
