Description
Provide bar assistance from 11pm to last resident retires to bed. Close down bar and balance tills.

  • Manage alcohol consumption effectively as per the licensing Act 200
  • At 11pm, secure the entire building to ensure that no one can enter except late returning resident guests.
  • Offer a reception service to late arriving guests including completion of registration forms, effective checkins and any room service requirements.
  • Complete end of day and reporting procedures as requested by the Front Office Manager or the Food and Beverage Manager.
  • Take reservations for all properties throughout the evening and input accurately on the PMS system.
  • Assist guests with luggage as and when required.
  • Responsible for cleaning, setting up and maintaining all public areas throughout the hotel to the agreed standards.
  • Anticipate guests' needs, wherever possible, in order to deliver exceptional quality of service and, in turn, exceed guest expectations.
  • Assist with food preparation in the kitchen area.
  • Preparation and delivery of room service orders throughout the night to the correct company standard.
  • Ensure that your dress, appearance, personal hygiene and behaviour is in line with the company standard at all times.
  • Promote a helpful and professional image ensuring full cooperation is given to colleagues in all other departments.
  • Ensure that the agreed standards of service, cleanliness and security are maintained in all areas.
  • Ensure you perform all Restaurant, Bar and Reception duties to the required standards.
  • Be fully conversant with the property management system (PMS) and Point of Sales EPOS System.
  • Ensure that all charges are posted correctly to the bills following standard procedures.
  • Deal with cash, cheque, and credit card transactions correctly and to ensure that all discrepancies are reported immediately.
  • Be fully conversant with the EPOS system.
  • Be fully conversant with the company policies and procedures.
  • Maximise all sales opportunities by using your knowledge of the properties and features.
  • Always ask a Manager for assistance if unsure of anything whilst on duty.
  • Attend any training and departmental meetings, as required.
  • Follow the Company and Hotel policy relating to guest comments and complaints.
  • Provide full time cover for holidays. Flexible with days and times of work.
  • Assist guests and colleagues in any way possible
