Metalis are working with a prestigious
well established company who are based in
Matlock, and are within the heavy engineering industry.

They are looking to add to their maintenance department by recruiting for a
Shift Mechanical Engineer.

Duties:

Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance duties on a variety of machinery and equipment to the required standards.
Identify true cause of failures and report corrective action necessary.
Improve plant productivity by responding to breakdowns efficiently and effectively with a firsttime fix.
Ensure all work is carried out to current Health & Safety legislation undertaking appropriate documentation including risk assessments, method statements, safe systems of work, and safe lock off procedures.
Undertake continuous improvement activities.
Be aware of incident reports and work with operational managers to promptly implement solutions to prevent reoccurrence.
Apprentice trained in a mechanical or engineering discipline.
Able to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic engineering drawings.
Working with a computerised maintenance management system.
Basic fabrication experience.
Experience working on CNC machinery and in a heavy engineering environment would be desirable.
