Young Persons Engagement and Recovery Worker to our vibrant Southwark service
Our Southwark service is a vibrant, collaborative team, comprising a dedicated lineup that includes a service manager, consultant psychiatrists, medical professionals, compassionate nurses, attentive healthcare assistants, empathetic recovery staff, passionate volunteers, efficient administrators, and supportive peer mentors.

£27, £31,529.41 dependant on experience

Your Impactful Role:
As a Young Persons Engagement and Recovery Worker, you'll create tailored interventions, placing young individuals at the centre of your approach.
Your goal? To empower, reduce risks, bolster resilience, and cultivate safe, happy, and healthy lives.Key Responsibilities Include:
- Connect with young people experiencing substance use issues, offering them guidance, support, and structured interventions.
- Provide advocacy and support for young people by actively participating in all relevant multiagency meetings.
- Collaborate with prescribing clinicians to enhance social functioning through support for substitute prescribing regimes, when necessary.
- Stay attentive to and address potential safeguarding concerns promptly and effectively.
- Cultivate a nurturing, comprehensive environment aimed at fostering positive health and wellbeing outcomes.
To thrive in this role, we welcome individuals who have:
- Experience in substance use intervention.
- Experience of working with young people.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, coupled with strong IT proficiency
- Proactive, autonomous, excellent time management, and priority setting abilities
- Proficiency in mental health interventions and practices
- A collaborative, supportive team player with robust interpersonal skills
- Champion for change, putting the needs of service users at the forefront
- Committed to information governance processes and ensuring safeguards are followed
