Will you be the
Payroll Administrator who makes a difference in helping to ensure our Healthcare employees pay is effectively processed.


Location:
Hybrid working (remote and office based, Totnes Devon)


Maternity Cover (up to 1 year) (with the possibility of the role being made permanent)


Working hours Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm (37.5 hours per week)

The difference you can make as a Payroll Administrator will be to effectively process the weekly payroll (approximately 6,000 people per week) challenging current systems and procedures, proposing and implementing changes as required.

  • Perform Payroll function for the Newcross weekly Payroll
  • Ensure exceptions are cleared weekly to ensure employees are paid accurately
  • Make weekly payroll adjustments accurately
  • Action manual timesheet changes as required
  • Effectively deal with payroll queries
  • Process Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) and Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP)
  • Issue P45's to employees who have left the business
  • To monitor the payroll tickets and interactive chat service
  • Complete a payroll expenses check
  • Ensure employee references are completed in a timely manor
  • To process Attachment of Earnings (AOE Court orders Daily)

The skills that make you different. Whilst a background in Payroll/Accounts is desirable, this is not essential as it is fully trainable for a strong administrator who is able to pick up new skills, tasks, and systems quickly but efficiently.

  • Payroll related experience (Desirable not essential)
  • Strong demonstrable experience as an Administrator
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience of iTrent payroll software (Desirable not essential)
  • Competent user MS Office
  • Experience of administering pension scheme (Desirable not essential)
  • High problem solving skills
  • Experience of high volume workload
  • Selfstarter with high personal energy
  • Excellent customer service skills***
