The Economic Development Team works to help our economy thrive and grow sustainably, supporting businesses to be successful which in turn helps our communities to be more resilient.


This exciting role will lead on business relationships, primarily promoting funding and other opportunities, and helping businesses get the support that they need.

It will attend networking and business events promoting the Council and its partners and the services they offer.

Importantly, it will build direct relationships with the business community on behalf of the Council particularly in Newhaven and the rural areas of Wealden and Rother.


We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised self-starter who can offer first class customer service, communicate effectively with a range of customers and external partners using tact, diplomacy and negotiation skills, as well as having the ability to organise your own and others' workloads and deal with conflicting demands.

Interviews will take place at County Hall, Lewes on Tuesday 19 and Wednesday 20 March 2024

Additional Information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
