Are you an experienced Senior Buyer with knowledge of supplier processes?

Do you have experience in a supplier continuity capacity?


If so, we have an exciting opportunity in Peterborough for a Senior Buyer to work for one of our clients who is best in their class for performance and reliability in their product.

In this role you will initially be working on a 12-month, with the potential for an extension. Our client is offering an excellent salary up to £31.59 per hour, depending on experience.


As the Senior Buyer your responsibilities would include:

  • Independently procure inventory, supplies, and capital goods, arranging timely deliveries.
  • Analyse complex purchasing initiatives and processes in the interests of cost effectiveness
  • Prepare and present recommendations of improvement opportunities
  • Support activities such as vendor management, industry and market analysis, process analysis, and model building
  • Lead analysis projects/initiatives providing coaching to less experienced analysts
  • Develop effective relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Management and execution of engineering releases
  • Other duties as deemed reasonable

Person Specification:


  • Experience of managing suppliers
  • Strong problemsolving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Intermediate level of related Supply Continuity work experience required
  • Key Work Tasks
  • Knowledge of supplier processes
  • Able to travel and visit suppliers when required
