Job Description:
We are seeking to appoint a Minerals and Waste Planner at Senior level to join our existing Minerals and Waste team which comprises specialist planners and environmental managers.
Examples of current and recent clients includes:
- Hanson
- Ibstock
- Marshalls
- Tarmac
- Egdon Resources
- Angus Energy
- Biffa

Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver, manage and coordinate the technical planning and environmental outputs as referred to above.
- Liaise with clients, internal specialist environmental and design teams and, where necessary, subcontractors.
- Work in partnership with other members of the Environment and Sustainability team (both within the
- Monitor and manage project budgets.
- Identify and pursue business development initiatives and manage the preparation of technical and fee proposals.
- Participate in internal and external meetings.
Qualifications:
- Excellent report writing and oral communication skills, commercial awareness.
- Able to work on own initiative and under pressure.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Project.
- Sound knowledge of UK planning policy and legislation and, preferably a working knowledge of EIA legislation.
- Client focused with good interpersonal skills and collaborative working approach with a high level of commitment to quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A degree in a relevant discipline.
- Relevant postgraduate degree an advantage.
- Licentiate Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or an equivalent professional planning organisation.
