The role:


As a Contact Supervisor you will work to support parents/carers whose contact is supervised, to provide safe and child focused sessions.

Your role will include providing regular and consistent supervision within the statutory requirements set by the local authority.


You will be part of a team of Contact Supervisors working directly with vulnerable children and will have the responsibility to ensure that the safety of the child is maintained and the child's welfare promoted.

You will also be responsible for coordinating and undertaking contact sessions and providing detailed reports that will be used in court proceedings.

Where applicable you may be requested to attend court hearings pertaining to supervised contact reports.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Contact Plans
  • To complete contact plans with children. This includes meeting with them within the Contact Centre, spending time building a rapport and assessing their needs; and completing the relevant forms following this.


  • Supervise Contact Sessions

  • To undertake supervised contact sessions. Your role will be to observe, assess and report on contact. This includes providing support and guidance, before, during and after contact; and intervening where appropriate. To provide verbal feedback to parents following each contact session.


  • Contact Reports

  • To report on observations made within contact. Any report pertaining to contact is to be completed within the contact session and the final draft available 2 hours after a session and made available to the Contact Coordinator for quality assurance checks; Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action.


  • Risk Assessments

  • To update and maintain risk assessments for each of your cases including safeguarding concerns, staff concerns, frequent or notable interventions/support and rule breaches, particularly in relation to safeguarding.

Qualifications: N/A.

Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.

Compliance: Current DBS and proof of right to work in the UK.

Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.

Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
