Personal assistant to join a team to assist a spinal-cord client

Available shifts:
Daytime/overnight/double up (AM/PM)
Our client is a young female living in East London with a C4 spinal injury.

She is a creative individual on a journey to get her independence and life back after a life changing injury.

Her injuries mean she is quadriplegic and doesn't have any use of her legs and has limited use of her arms with no hand function.

She lives an active lifestyle working part time in the fashion industry, as well as volunteer projects to help others with spinal cord injuries and is a practicing artist


Care requirements:

• Personal care (Showering, dressing, catheter care, bowel management, medication, manual handling gantry hoist, home cleaning, preparing meals, assistance with eating and physiotherapy)
• Social care (Assistance with hobbies i.e painting, listening to records, visiting exhibitions, traveling, shopping and film)

We are looking for someone ideally with similar interests and at least six month care experience for daytime 12 hour shifts, although for the right person this could be negotiated.

They will be working as part of a small team, so the shifts will be shared between a couple of other carers.

Rate:
£ £12.50 per hour depending on experience and shift type. This will be paid on a monthly basis.

All applicants will need to supply working references and have a recent DBS check.

Valid driving license is preferred but not mandatory.
