**What you'll be doing

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to support the Accounts Payable Manager and the rest of the team in delivering a robust Accounts Payable service for our UK business.

The role includes but is not limited to:

Working with the AP Manager, to ensure all invoice processing is completed on time and accurately
Assisting in entering appropriate nominal ledger codes on invoices on receipt.
Registering all invoices on receipt to ensure the appropriate period is charged with the relevant expense
Gaining appropriate authorisation in line with the amount and type of expense, for arranging payment of each invoice
Assisting in the reconciliation of supplier statements and accurately making payment to suppliers of goods and services, in line with the agreed terms
Ensuring that new and authorised supplier accounts are opened within the accounts payable ledger and that credit & payment terms listed reflect those agreed with the supplier
Archiving records in accordance with legislation
Preparation of accounts payable metrics to assist the Accounts Payable Manager in monitoring performance
This position has direct accountability for ensuring that authorised expenditure is processed and paid in accordance with agreements and/or Company policy

The salary for this role is dependent on experience.
