Start People are currently recruiting for Machine operators for a shiny new site in Warrington.


Please note:

You must be available to travel to Maghull (L31 8) for the first 4 to 6 weeks until fully trained.


This position will be responsible for the effective operation of a bagging and packing machine, and will include being trained up as a primary operator for a new machine, in addition to taking ownership of the machine/area.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Operating the Sandiacre machine to produce highquality packaged materials
  • Startup checks and setting up a multifunctional bagging machine
  • Ensuring machine is operating at target pack per minute
  • Diagnosing & escalating machinery breakdown problems
  • Completing paperwork to the required standard
  • Performing changeovers and ensuring downtime is minimised
  • Monitoring production output and quality, making adjustments as necessary to meet customer requirements
  • Ensuring food hygiene, food safety and health & safety practices are adhered to
  • Be responsible for a small team of production operative workers

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Proven experience operating and setting packaging/bagging machinery or similar equipment
  • Strong mechanical and technical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail and problemsolving skills
  • Prepared to support and develop 'best in class'
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment

HOURS AND PAY:


  • 4 on, 4 off
  • 08:0020:00
- £13.15ph, overtime paid x
  • Weekly pay every Friday
