Job Title:
QC Inspector


Reports To:
QHSE Manager


Location:
Aberdeen (Altens)


Accountability

  • Record welding, material traceability data from the shopfloor & input into AESSOP
  • Organise and create AESSOP Requests for NDT, PWHT, Hardness, Pressure Test and Painting
  • Perform final inspection and release of items to clients
  • Full dimensional inspection of all incoming materials & certification
  • Perform shop floor inspection activities:
Dimensional; Welding; Witness Pressure Tests

  • Check delivery quantity against delivery note and sign off relevant delivery documents
  • Inspect all incoming goods for quality and advise of any defects or damage
  • Full dimensional inspection of all incoming materials & certification
  • Book receipts into our AESSOP MRP systems
  • Identify any material shortages to the Operations Manager
  • Responsible for receipt of all site deliveries
  • Follow the Goods Inwards & Quality Control Procedure
  • Actively participate in stock take activities
  • Other tasks related to material accuracy and goods in activities
  • Work in a manner, which protects the health, safety and welfare of self and others
  • Maintain strict confidentiality on all matters relating to company business
  • Look after company interests at all times

Person Specification

Experience

  • Experience in shopfloor inspections and weld inspection
  • Experience in a Goods In role within a manufacturing environment
  • IT literate with experience using a MRP system in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to read manufacturing general assembly drawings
  • Forklift experience would be preferred but not essential

  • Efficient, with good attention to detail.
