A well-known restaurant brand with exciting plans is recruiting a Financial Controller.

You will report to the Finance Director and business partner the Managing Director and senior colleagues in Operations and Marketing to drive the performance and growthof the business.


You will be responsible for leading all aspects of financial reporting and accounting, controls and processes, Financial Planning & Analysis, and commercial finance.

Due to the nature of this company, the role will be a combination of commercial finance,FP&A and hands-on accounting work, highly varied and always interesting.


In this role you will deliver the month end and ad hoc reporting which provides commercial insight, performance analysis, identifies trends and challenges the business.

You will lead FP&A, budgeting and forecasting, create an effective management informationreporting pack and cashflow management.

Due to the nature of this role, there will be a significant number of ad hoc projects and pieces of analysis.


You will manage a team and take overall control of the company's accounting function including annual Statutory Accounts preparation and Audit ensuring the accounting policies comply with the relevant accounting standards.

Another key responsibility willbe for cash management for both working capital purposes and with regards to accurate and dynamic forecasting to facilitate company growth and finance arranging.

You will own the balance sheet and oversee group wide financial controls.

You will own the relationshipwith the outsourced Management Accounts and Transactional finance providers and act as point of contact for all third parties in matters relating to finance and accounting.

E.g. around tax (VAT and corporation tax), year end and audit.


Naturally, you will be identifying and driving improvements to internal reporting and systems and supporting strategic business planning and growth initiatives.
