Postdoctoral Position in Cardiometabolic Research available the laboratory of Dr. Annarita Di Lorenzo at the Weill Cornell Medicine, New York, USA.


The laboratory studies the molecular basis of sphingolipid metabolism derangements in cardiometabolic disorders, by using specific genetic deletion of enzymes, transporters, and receptors of sphingolipids, and a novel model of coronary atherosclerosis.

Studies in animal models are complemented by cell and molecular biology studies, biochemistry, Lipidomics, and transcriptomics.

Applicants should hold a PhD or MD/PhD degree with less than two years of postdoctoral experience. Preferred expertise includes but is not limited to cellular and molecular biology; FACS analysis, transcriptomics and Lipidomics.
Mouse experience is welcomed but not necessary.


The laboratory is well-funded and is located in one of the most dynamic research environments in New York city, and part of the Cardiovascular Research Institute and Feil Family Brain & Mind Research Institute.

The lab also takes advantage of active scientific interactions with research community at nearby Rockefeller University and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, therefore offering many exciting opportunities for career development.
