We are looking to recruit a highly motivated
Senior Procurement
Consultant to join our team in
Barrow-in-Furness on a
permanent basis.


You will be an experienced consultant in our team with the responsibility of managing clients and a team as well as leading on your own projects with autonomy and scope to grow further.

In this role you will be responsible for evaluating, recommending, and implementing industry best practice, strategic procurement systems, processes, and procedures with Energy/Nuclear/Defence/Central Government customers.


This can range from developing procurement/acquisition strategies and drafting procurement documentation to leading on market engagement and mobilising supply chains.


About You:


What we are looking for in our next Senior Procurement Consultant

  • Experience of working in a strategic procurement environment.
  • Experience of standard forms of contract, including the NEC suite, and the Public Contracts Regulations 201
  • Ability to develop procurement strategy within a project or programme context.
  • Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Understanding key commercial principles and techniques.
  • Previous working experience within relevant industry sector.
  • Ideally you will be HNC, HND or Degree qualified in a Quantity Surveying / Cost Management, Construction Law, or similar / relevant discipline, or in some case applicants with an alternative background (e

g:
Engineering) may be considered.

  • Professional qualifications and/or membership of the RICS or the CIPS is desirable. Progress towards this will be supported if not already attained.
