In-House Assistant Tax Manager, Financial Services

City of London - open to primarily remote working or hybrid model

£65,000 - £75,000 + bonuses & market-leading benefits

This position is purposed to assist the group in meeting direct tax compliance obligations, alongside ensuring transactions/structures are tax efficient and coherent with commercial objectives.

Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Managing corporate tax compliance (both preparation and oversight), alongside submission of tax returns for UK&I.
Managing corporation tax payments across the region.
Preparing and submitting PSA returns.
UK & overseas tax reporting
Supporting with tax accounting and reporting for both entity and group financial statements
Maintaining transfer pricing documentation and supporting with changes around Pillar
Supporting on tax planning and advisory around commercial projects and transactions
Adhoc support on wider tax and finance initiatives
Proactively looking to optimise tax compliance processes and systems
Working closely with wider finance stakeholders to instil awareness for key tax processes and raise the internal profile of tax, in collaboration with the wider tax team
ACA/CTA qualification
Experience in UK corporate tax compliance/tax accounting additional international tax or transactions/advisory exposure advantageous
Experience in working with both current and deferred taxes essential
Prior experience within the financial services essential
Experience with tax software and general technological proficiency advantageous
The right to work permanently in the UK is required for this position
