As well as playing a leading role in the design of our client XJTAG's market-leading products, you will also be heavily involved in the design consultancy services of Cambridge Technology Consultants - enjoy the technical challenges brought by such a widevariety of work.

You will support companies across virtually all industrial sectors around the globe.

This is a full-time office-based role. They are located in Cambridge and is a member of the Cambridge Technology Group.


Responsibilities

  • Guiding current and new hardware design projects.
  • Maintaining a fun and innovative work environment.
  • Inspiring others to achieve their goals.
  • Coaching and mentoring electronics design engineers.
  • Daytoday team management and overseeing the team's work.
  • Electronics design for XJTAG products.
  • Electronics design for a wide variety of consultancy projects.
  • Schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium.
  • Board bringup and testing.
  • Supporting clients.
  • Managing production of XJTAG hardware.

Requirements:


  • Extensive hardware design and development experience across the full product lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire others.
  • Strong teamworking skills.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Great organisational ability
  • Extensive componentlevel electronics design experience (with a strong bias towards digital).
  • Demonstrable skills designing with FPGAs and embedded microprocessors.
  • Strong experience of highspeed digital electronics design.
  • Good understanding of power and signal integrity analysis and related tools.
  • Some experience of analogue electronics design would be an advantage (e.g., power supplies or signal conditioning).
  • Skilled at schematic capture and PCB layout (Altium preferred).
  • Extensive board bringup experience.
  • Faultfinding skills to system and component level.
  • Experience implementing designformanufacture and designfortest.
  • Experience working directly with CEMs for circuit board production.
  • Permission to work in the UK.

Salary Range
£70 - £100k depending on experience
