This is a part-time post of 22.5 hours per week, with a shift pattern of 11.25 hours rotational days/nughts accross 7 days.

Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours.


An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of a Health Care Support worker within the Neonatal Unit at the Royal Hospital for Children.

The post will incorporate days/nights/weekends/public holidays. The Neonatal Unit is a busy 50 bedded ITU/HDU/SC. The ability to organize and priorities workload are essential.

As a Health Care Support Worker you are a hugely valuable support to our Nursing and Midwifery teams providing care to our patients.

Every day you'll be working in close contact with patients and families carrying out a wide range of tasks.

As a Health Care Support Worker, you will ensure a high standard of cleanliness following infection control policy and guidelines.

As part of a multidisciplinary team the post holder will maintain stock supplies in the department and ensure the unit's cleanliness is maintained to a high standard.

The post holder may be required to provide patient care with support of the trained nurse and will work in assigned areas.

The post holder will be kind, caring, professional and reliable.
