Client Summary:
Our client is a market leader and well established business within the rolling stock restoration and manufacturing sector. They are looking for individuals who want are looking to join a busy workshop with a growing business.

Position Summary:

This role would require individuals to weld packers and central stands onto refurbished freight wagons / side tippers wheelsets, before positioning a pre-fabricated body onto the reworked frame.

Requiring knowledge and experience of positional MIG welding,such as Vertical Up - fillet and butt joints. This role will include all the weld preparation and final weld work.

Including all the metal prep, cleaning and completing the final weld to a high standard - which is to be visually inspected.

Removing Couplings
Releasing clamps
Reattaching centre pivots

Essential Experience:

Previous positional welding experience
MIG / TIG
Able to complete all preparation work
Be able to complete Test bars (codings) to meet the requirements of the role (MIG on Mild Steel)
Be able to work safely in an industrial environment
Be able to follow written work instructions
Ability to set and use welding equipment
Must be time served and apprentice trained Welder (NVQ, City & Guilds, ETC)

Desirable Experience:
