Job description
As a Third-Party Intervention Claims Handler, you will use your knowledge to find solutions for innocent third parties with a focus on reducing claims costs.
You will liaise with the Third Party through their claims journey assisting them by providing services to ensure the damage to their vehicle is effectively managed and is hassle free.
This is done by getting their vehicle assessed, arranging repairs or making an offer to compensate them for the damage as well as additional services such as arranging a replacement vehicle or dealing with other losses arising from the claim.
You will work closely with our in-house engineers and operations teams and will have a good eye for detail and flag any fraudulent indicators that need to be escalated or investigated.
You will manage a case load of claims from new notification to completion, including a full liability assessment. You will utilise our claims system ensuring accurate notes are made and diary management is kept up to date.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Handle third party claims proactively by directly communicating with third parties
- Carry out a full liability assessment on each claim
- Manage the third parties expectations of the next steps in the claims journey
- Investigate and monitor developments on any delays
- Ensure suppliers and partners are kept updated
- Always provide excellent customer service to third parties and customers
- Ensure service level agreements are adhered to and deal with all expressions of dissatisfaction in accordance with best practice
Experience & Skills Required:
- Customer service driven and have a real passion for working with people
- Flexible working attitude, be able to work independently or at home Effectively prioritise your workload whilst working with a high level of autonomy
- Knowledge of GTA and liability
- Resilient and strong negotiation skills
- Excellent telephone manner and can be sympathetic, understanding and patient
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
- IT knowledge required in Excel, Outlook, and Word as a minimum
- Proactive approach to work and will work on own initiative
