ABOUT THE ROLE


Grocery is a fast-growing startup within Uber that enables consumers to get just about anything delivered through the Uber Eats app.

As the Head of Consumer Growth you will lead our consumer growth efforts across grocery, convenience and alcohol, ensuring a reliable and sticky experience for customers.

You will lead a team that builds and executes data-driven strategies and processes that will drive the growth and efficiency of the business.

You will work cross-functionally with other teams (i.e. Account Management, Marketing, Product, Legal, Communications) to lead high impact initiatives that can scale growth across the UK while offering ownership and autonomy over your work. and exponentially grow this arm of the Uber Eats business.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Set vision, develop a holistic strategy with multiple verticals feeding in, and manage a large budget around consumer growth strategies and tactics to enable us to win in the UK across all verticals
  • Analyze sophisticated data, drive segmentation models, and aggregate insights to drive key business decisions especially around growth investments
  • Drive our key Merchandising org to improve the daily Grocery app and ensure we are showcasing the wide range of offering in the best manner possible
  • Work with external stakeholders (Merchants) to align on comarketing plans and negotiate investment from both parties
  • Be the Operations counterpart and voice on needs, requests, escalations, planning to crossfunctional partners for the consumer (i.e. Marketing, Product, CommOps, and other Operations verticals)
  • Define critical metrics to track business performance; report findings to senior leadership to define longterm strategy and decisionmaking
  • Champion key strategic consumerfocused projects endtoend by collaborating and working crossfunctionally with other operations teams as well as Product, Marketing, Finance, Communications, etc. and deliver on project objectives
  • Lead roadmapping, planning, and prioritization for your team

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of growth operations, business/ general management, strategy, planning, marketing, management consulting or similar experience
  • Excel/Google Sheets proficiency, SQL proficiency preferred

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly to a range of audiences
  • Experienced in solving strategically and analytically complex business problems using datadriven decisionmaking and sound business judgment
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced and ambiguous environment
  • You have experience delivering on multifaceted, sophisticated projects with many partners and stakeholders across the business
  • Experience of leading and coaching people to deliver high quality work
  • Strong experience building and executing complex processes
  • Proven ability to balance multiple critical tasks and consistently delivering against hard deadlines
  • Experience with quantitative data analysis, deep measurable insights, modeling, and sophisticated test plan design and analysis
  • Strong collaboration and partner management skills building deep, trustbased relationships with commercial and cross functional teams
