Recruit Moore have been approached by our client in Chilworth to support them in finding a Conference and Events Manager.
Your role will be to manage the busy conference and events calendar, which is key to maintaining the brand and generate leads.
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic, highly organised professional with a positive can-do attitude who can ensure our clientsbrand is represented at the right events in the sectors they serve.
The role also manages the online events, building on a successful webinar programme, and supports a small number of internal events.
The Conference and Events Manager role suits a confident and organised team player with excellent attention to detail, initiative, an interest in research, and a passion to deliver high quality events.
- Liaising with the sales team to ensure a smooth delivery of each conference, taking responsibility for ensuring the team has everything they need for a successful event
- Hotel bookings
- Organising couriers to ship exhibition materials and stock when required
- Working with finance to manage budgeting and invoicing
- Managing event timelines
- Liaising and negotiating with vendors, suppliers and sponsors
- Handling logistics
- Maintaining merchandise and stock
- Working with the team to manage branding and communications
- Writing and submitting business profiles and topic synopses for speaking/presentation opportunities
- Event research to ensure correct audience profile
- Venue research
- Developing event feedback processes for continual improvement
- Measuring and reporting to demonstrate return on investment based on lead generation and attendance
- Maximising investment in conference activity with innovative and creative offers and competitions on exhibition stands that attract visitors
Salary - £30,000 DOE
Hours - 08:30 - 17:30, with 1 hour for lunch
