JOB TITLE - Quality Improver


DEPARTMENT - Packaging and Distribution


LOCATION - Mountpark


WORKING HOURS - Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 16:30

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a dynamic team as a Quality Improver for a leading global manufacturer of contact lenses _.

_Your role will be to lead quality investigations and work as part of cross-functional teams to ensure investigations and accurate root cause analysis are completed within agreed time frames.

**Essential functions & responsibilities: - Representing QA in NCR, Quality Feedback, Customer Complaint and SNC investigations

  • Performing root cause analysis and training this concept to others outside of the QA group
  • Monitoring the time taken to complete investigations with the aim of minimising customer impact
  • Completing investigation reports individually and with teams, leading meetings where appropriate
  • Evaluating effectiveness of corrective and preventative actions
  • Leading and participating in project groups to improve the quality of products / processes
  • Developing supporting documentation for improvement projects including training material
  • Risk Assessment Team member and Subject Matter Expert for Quality
  • Support Engineering team and wider business with change management; ECO Leader, ECO Change Analyst
  • Identifying Corrections, Corrective Actions and Preventive Actions within CAPA teams
  • Working with CAPA leaders to ensure quality issues are investigated in a timely manner, and appropriate corrective and preventative actions are implemented
  • Quality Data Trending; review metrics where applicable to monitor performance of Quality processes, such as NCR, Customer Complaints, QFBs and SNCs
  • Providing GMP training and representing QA in GMP improvement projects Support documentation with technical report writing

Knowledge, skills and abilities essential to excel in this role include:

  • Minimum 1 years' experience in a regulated industry.
  • Knowledge of contact lens and packaging and distribution processes desired, but not essential.
  • Highly motivated and responsible.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively either alone or as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritise workload as appropriate.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement tools and processes.
  • Knowledge of ISO14971, and Application of Risk Management to Medical Devices beneficial.
  • Computer literate, with knowledge of GPS, Baan, Red Prairie, Agile and Microsoft packages.
  • Flexibility to work across the UK sites.
  • Full, current driving license. Educated to A-Level standard preferred, but not essential.
**Work Environment
The post operates primarily in an office environment, with some tasks based in the warehouse. Some areas of operations will require PPE, provided by the company.
