Sales Administrator
Houghton Hams is a family business based in Northampton manufacturing cooked meats for retail, wholesale and foodservice for over 40 years.
Due to a period of growth we are looking to recruit a Sales Support Administrator at our Moulton Park offices.
We are looking for a positive, organised, professional individual to work alongside and support the existing sales administration team.Main aim
To join the Sales department, supporting the admin/accounts function resulting in efficient processing of orders and excellent customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- In this busy and varied role you will work closely with all departments to process customer orders, and all associated administration.
- Tracking orders through to dispatch, keeping customers informed of any issues.
- Checking dispatch documents and completing invoices using Sage Accounting Software.
- Supporting the accounts team where required/requested, predominantly sales ledger but not limited to
- Helping with transport planning and associated vehicle/driver administration.
- Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
- Maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems
- Managing a heavy workload and prioritising work schedules
- Provide secretarial assistance as required to Directors, Managers and Sales Staff including typing correspondence and answering telephones.
- Flexibility to work with and support other teams within the business.
Working hours:
- 37.5 Hours per week / 5 days a week
- Monday to Friday 8.30am pm

Experience:
- Previous experience of a Sales Administration role
- You will be an excellent communicator with outstanding administrative skills and attention to detail.
- An ability to work to a high standard and to ensure all paperwork is submitted securely and accurately.
- Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles
- Basic knowledge of Sage Accounts and experience in accounting is essential.
- Working as part of a small team, you will have the ability to engage with other members of the business to encourage a smooth and efficient service for our customers.
Salary:
£22,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
