About the team
Lintons Close is a supported living service for adults with learning disabilities.

We support adults who are quite independent in their day-to-day lives and all have their own flats, which we support them to maintain.


About the role
As a Domestic Cleaner you will be responsible for the cleaning of the flats and communal areas.


This will include things like:

cleaning kitchens, toilets, bathrooms and general household, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping and ensuring a good supply of toilet paper and hand towels are available in the appropriate dispensers.

You'll also be cleaning staff areas, bin areas and outside walkways between the buildings.


Being a Domestic Cleaner at Lintons means you'll be working in the service while some of the people we support are still at home so you will need to be respectful of their Health and Safety as well as your own.


About you Essential Criteria**:


  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good knowledge of COSHH guidelines
  • Ability to attend and complete virtual and face to face training sessions
  • Good knowledge and understanding of hygiene and cleanliness

Desirable Criteria:


  • Previous experience of working in a supported living service
  • Experience of working with people with learning disabilities
  • Experience of working in a busy environment
  • Experience of keeping inventory of the cleaning materials

English Fluency

The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post (for those whose language is a signed language the provision of a sign language interpreter who speaks English to the necessary standard of fluency will be required).
