The Role
We're looking for a Finance Assistant to join our growing team.

The role is key to the efficiency of the finance team which acts as a central finance hub for companies within the group.

The role will contribute to the smooth running of the finance function by ensuring that tasks and financial transactions are completed in a timely and accurate manner and include managing the purchase ledgers, assisting with month end and year end procedures, bank administration and liaising with stakeholders across the business to resolve queries.


Responsibilities:


  • Managing the purchase ledger for a number of group companies, liaising with suppliers and other stakeholders to resolve queries and ensure accuracy.
  • Management of supplier invoices for approval and payment.
  • Raising intragroup invoices and liaising with other group finance teams to complete transactions.
  • Supporting the team with bank administrative tasks as required.
  • Supporting the team with month and year end processes as required.
  • Preparing ad hoc analysis and information for the finance team and stakeholders.
  • Undertaking additional tasks required to support the team as and when required.


We're looking for someone who is hands on, takes ownership of their work and is excited by a busy and varied role.

  • Previous experience working in a Finance/Accountancy role or studying towards an accounting qualification such as AAT is essential
  • An enthusiastic and proactive team player.
  • A selfstarter with a strong customer service ethic.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A professional manner and ability to work with discretion.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to multi task in a fast paced environment.
  • Able to take ownership and complete organisational tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excel skills would be desirable but not essential.
