SEN Care assistant - Colchester

An SEN School in Colchester is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our dedicated team.

We are a specialist school for children with special educational needs, providing individualized support and education to children witha range of needs.


Responsibilities:

Provide personal care to children with special educational needs, including toileting, feeding and support with mobility

Assist with daily activities,routines and meal times

Create a safe, supportive and engaging environment for children with special educational needs

Encourage children to participate in educational and therapeutic activities

Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with teachers, parents and other professionals

Assist and support the implementation of individual care plans


Requirements:

Experience in working with children with special educational needs, either in a school or care setting

Ability to understand and work within a person-centered approach

Ability to use initiative and work as part of a team

Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Flexibility and a positive approach to work
