Responsibilities:


  • Work with the class teacher to develop and deliver individualised learning plans for pupils with SEN
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of lessons and activities, adapting them to meet the needs of pupils with SEN
  • Provide onetoone support to pupils with SEN as well as small group support
  • Monitor and record the progress of pupils with SEN and report back to the class teacher
  • Liaise with parents and carers of pupils with SEN to ensure a consistent approach to support at home and school

Requirements:


  • Previous experience working with children with SEN
  • A good understanding of the needs of pupils with a range of SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD)
  • A patient and caring approach to working with pupils with SEN
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A willingness to learn and develop new skills
