The University of Hull has invested substantially in infrastructure and new research posts, particularly in the area of Biomedicine.

The Positron Emission Tomography Research Centre
(PETRC) as part of the Centre for Biomedicine is established as a leading international centre that provides state of the art facilities to undertake research in translational biomedical science.

In particular, the development of PET imaging probes. The PETRC links through a translational pathway to support the Molecular Imaging Research Centre (MIRC) at Castle Hill Hospital. MIRC is a ca.

£8.75 million investment between Hull University Teaching Hospital NHS Trust, the Daisy Appeal and the University of Hull, that is planned for completion in early 2024.


This is an exciting opportunity to join an interdisciplinary medical imaging research team in the PETRC, within a facility equipped with the latest technologies, to support the senior staff in the safe running of the facility and participate in multi-disciplinary projects.

You will also be part of a multi-disciplinary team of radiochemists and biomedical scientists working closely with clinical colleagues at the MIRC at Castle Hill Hospital.
