Business Overview:

We are looking for a Production Specialist to join our team who produce the live news programmes and bulletins for ITV Calendar

This role entails:

As a Production Specialist, you will work as part of a multi-skilled team providing technical, craft, operational and administrative skills across all areas of the news service, primarily based at our newsroom and studio in Yorkshire.

You must be willing, and have the aptitude, to develop new skills (with appropriate training) and to move between different duties on a daily basis as the needs of a busy and vibrant news operation requires.

You'll also be happy to share your own skills with others. The rostered hours will include weekend working, late shifts as well as early morning shifts.

As a Production Specialist, you will be a highly motivated individual as well as friendly and approachable. You will be committed to working as part of a successful team, sharing the responsibility for supporting news production.

Above all, you will be an excellent communicator who is quick thinking and calm under pressure with strong and decisive decision-making skills.

Good time keeping is also essential.

To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate the following skills:

Minimum role criteria:

Proven skills in areas that include live studio operations, gallery timing, vision, sound, directing bulletins, Traffic, production administration & scheduling is essential.
Thrives in live gallery situations working well under pressure and to tight deadlines (Essential)
Relevant knowledge and skills for this vacancy in at least one of the following areas: PA skills, Vision, Sound, bulletin directing, Traffic operations
