A Battery Management System (BMS) Lead Engineer is required to join a small but complete vehicle manufacturer, you will work within Electrical Electronics and Energy Storage department which is responsible for supporting the

development of Electric Vehicle (EV) battery systems for future EV products.

The scope involves defining the EV battery architecture, Cell selection, Battery pack development, Development of BMS software, Component and Vehicle level Validation.

AsLead Engineer - Battery Management System - you will be required to

Develop BMS systems architecture
Software/Hardware integration
Define validation/verification plan and methodologies as well as evaluating test results
Debug and carry out systems test on the HIL rig / SIL
Calibration and commissioning of BMS
Support the systems activities in the development of the BMS

As Lead Engineer -Battery Management System - you will have

Degree qualified or equivalent with relevant experience in automotive BMS development experience (ideally Systems Engineering), previous experience in leading BMS systems development activities
Experience of leading BMS commissioning and calibration
Experience in systems engineering and system delivery
Experience of automotive control systems and calibration
Experience in systems engineering and Automotive functional safety knowledge (ISO 26262)
Knowledge of HV liion Batteries Knowledge of electric vehicle architectures and components
Experience of MATLAB/Simulink (for BMS function development)
Experience with Vector tools (e.g., CANalyzer, CANape, CANoe) or equivalent
