Description

The South Staffordshire Community Mental Health Team are a part of MPFT Perinatal Services which includes Brockington Parent and Baby Unit, Shropshire Community Perinatal Mental Health Team and the Lotus Service (Maternal Mental Health Service).

There are close working relationships across perinatal services. The service has high staff retention rates supported by high workplace staff satisfaction from recent staff surveys.

Within our team, our collective agreed vision, towards which we all strive, is to improve the mental health of families in the antenatal and postnatal period.


We aim to deliver on this vision by delivering: 1. A comprehensive assessment and tailored evidenced based interventions. 2. Ensuring all care delivered is person centered.


  • Educating wider systems and improving communication to reduce stigma. 4. Working with and across integrated care systems.
