Description

We are looking for caring, compassionate people to join our team to support individuals with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism/Mental Health issues to live fulfilled lives in their own homes or in their community while attending The Bungalow (Gale Lane, Acomb).


The role has a strong preventative focus which support individuals with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism to live fulfilled lives while attending day services, short stay and overnights, delivering person centred care and promoting independence and choice as far as is practicable in all daily activities.


The post holder will work in an integrated way over a range of service settings, pursuing the ideals of valued opportunities for Adults with Autism and/or a Learning Disability with complex health needs.

You will take the lead for the writing of Care Plans, Positive Behaviour Support Plans, Risk Assessments and all plans for the customers.

This is a responsible role which is really varied, and extremely rewarding.

You will need to have excellent Team Leader skills and be able to lead, support, guide and monitor Support Workers on shift.

As this role is public facing, applicants will need to demonstrate, at interview, their competency to converse and provide advice and guidance to members of the public, in spoken English to CEFR level C2: Can express him/herself spontaneously at length with a natural conversational flow, avoiding or backtracking around any difficulty so smoothly that the person with whom they are conversing is hardly aware of it.
