Person Spec:
We are looking for an experienced flexographic printer to run our MPS printing press.

You must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in the printing industry, outstanding colour matching skills and a keen eye for detail.

Job Summary:

Responsible for producing high quality self adhesive labels up to 5 colour using multiple processes, and able to consistently meet customer specifications following strict quality control procedures.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

Make ready, run and clean down narrow web flexo presses.
Use spectrophotometer to manage colour and print quality
Work with the planning, despatch, prepress and finishing departments in order to meet tight deadlines
Be proactive in identifying and developing process improvement opportunities
Use knowledge and experience to support colleagues in problem solving and achieving results
Actively work towards achieving department and business goals
Select most appropriate methods and equipment to produce the highest possible quality print, e.g. anilox volume and print order
Perform press maintenance and minor repairs as required
Identify reasons for problems in print and rectify problems
Liaise with sales team and customers to help facilitate customer passes on press
Communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues, using both face to face and written methods of communication
Liaise and attend meetings with team members and other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organisational development.
Attend training when required to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety, and quality management.
Carrying out reasonable additional duties when business needs require.

The correct Flexographic Printer will receive a salary of between £24,000 and £34,000 dependent on hours and experience.
