Department and Role Overview:


A primary function of the Treasury department is to ensure control over its funding and liquidity position at all times, for the full range of securities and derivatives products traded by the company.

The Funding Analyst has to ensure the company's liquidityrisks are measured, monitored and reported in a timely manner, within the appropriate controls and procedures that meet the standards required by the regulators, our own auditors and our external risk stakeholders.


Key Job Functions

  • Capture daily real and potential cash requirements from front/back offices and reflect them in cash projections
  • Determine the projections and drivers of the cash flows and liquidity flows
  • Arrange and book loans, FX swaps, deposits and repo transactions
  • Prepare funding and liquidity management information and reports
  • To assist Management in evaluating, assessing and analysis liquidity and funding requirements
  • To help propose solutions to meet the requirements
  • To work with Risk Management to identify all the liquidity risks for the company, and enhance the liquidity risk management framework
  • Assist Treasurer and Head of Liquidity Management in developing liquidity projections, forecasts under stress scenarios
  • Assist Treasurer and Head of Liquidity Management in building out Contingency Funding Plans, participate in the Liquidity processes such as ILAA
  • Initiate and manage projects to support the reduction of risk, enhancement of control, introduction of new products and business process changes throughout the Operations teams both in London and New York
  • Help in preparation of regulatory reports for liquidity and ad hoc analysis on the Firm's funding issues
  • Work with Treasury Manager to meet the firm's funding and liquidity requirement, serve as back up when he/she is not available.

Skills and Experience Required:


This role requires proven experience of the following:

  • Previous experience in Treasury, working knowledge of FX, MM, Repo instruments
  • Previous regulatory environment experience
  • Solid technical and system skills
  • Strong ability in risk identification and reduction
  • Management of control regimes
  • Strong tactical and strategic prioritisation
  • Must be a good team player
  • Previous experience or appreciation of working within a culturally diverse organisation
  • Able to negotiate outcomes and improvements for the department and company
  • Clear, articulate and assertive in communication with strong interpersonal and rapport building skills
  • High level of accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
  • Flexible in both task management and ability to deal with fluctuating volumes and job demands
  • Strong literacy skills and writes clear and concise business documents
  • Manage change agenda with ease and coordinate projects through to completion
