About the Role
The key purpose of the Network Consultant role is to be the trusted technical advisor to our customers. Leading technological complex networking solutions across all sector verticals; through providing technical consultancy and expert level technical design.

Responsibilities

Technical ownership in designing High level technical documentation
Produce relevant internal/external technical documentation to BT Standard
Consulting in shaping standards and working practices
Technical point of contact
Adhere to BT Behaviours and Values
Adhere to BT Standard policies and procedures
Contribute to achieving individual set performance goals

Technical Consultancy
Design
Bid/RFP experience
Cisco Networking
SD-Access / DNA Centre
Fortinet
Cisco ISE
Cisco SD-WAN
Cisco Firepower/ASA
National Security Vetting maybe required
Subject matter expert knowledge in Cisco Enterprise Networking/ Security/Wireless
Independently delivering and acting as the technical design authority on large complex technological solutions

Articulate customer objectives to an IT solution
Identifying and owning unusual technical problems in complex situations from partial/conflicting data, investigating all the facts, making accurate decisions and acting within appropriate timeframes
Adapt appropriate information/style to the audience; explain difficult issues clearly, able to establish consensus and obtain agreement
Strong communication skills, working effectively with people at all levels
Broader understanding of IT industry principles, technologies and market trends
