CNC Programmer Setter Operators x 4, Redditch, to £30,000 per annum + Shift Allowance + Pension
My client is a very successful and long-established manufacturing / engineering company. They are a leader in their field, supplying a range of industries. Currently they are looking to recruit proven and experienced CNC Programmer, Setter, Operators for theirsite in Redditch. Salary up to £30k + 18% shift allowance.
**1 x CNC Grinder (P/S/O)
**Setting machines in accordance with H&S regulations and the process control plan.
*CNC grinding, operating, setting, and programming.
Interpreting component drawings to determine specifications.
*Using measuring equipment to ensure components meet specification.
*Monitoring equipment spares and consumables, replenishing stock when required.
*Responsible for championing 6S and developing a culture of lean.
*Performing & developing PM & TPM activities to ensure continuous operation of machines, monitoring the condition of machine parts, replacing when required.
*To develop ways of working to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
*Liaising with the QEHS & CI Leader to ensure quality standards are being achieved.
*Performing any other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time.
*Successful applicants will have the supporting qualifications

Essential

Experience:

  • This is a handson job requiring engineering skill levels to craft level or similar/higher.
  • Conversant with H&S rules, regulations, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of manual handling.
  • Able to confidently work to engineering drawings.
  • Fanuc control programming in ISO G code.
  • Able to use a CMM and shadowgraphs for inspection.
  • Be confident and experienced in working with:
  • CNC machining Turning or Grinding.
  • Surface grinding.
  • Cylindrical grinding.
  • ISO programming G codes.
  • Able to perform these tasks to a competent standard.
**1 x CNC Miller / Turner (P/S/O)
**Reporting to the Team Leader/Production Manager, you will be working in a production environment with CNC vertical machining centre.

Essential duties & responsibilities:

  • Programming, setting CNC millers.
  • Inspect using micrometres comparators CMM and shadow graphs.
  • To escalate production issues to Team Leaders/Production Manager.

Experience:

  • Good all round engineering skills.
  • CNC programming for Fanuc controls would be an advantage.
  • Experience in the machining of hard materials.
A good understanding of manual machining (turning would be good).

  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety and Environmental legislation.

Education:

Supporting qualifications would be good.

**2 x CNC Programmer / Setter / Operators - Milling / Manual Grinding

**Responsibilities: - *Setting machines in accordance with H&S regulations and the process control plan.
*Manual grinding, operating, and setting.
*Milling using Siemens & Fanuc controls.
*Interpreting component drawings to determine specifications.
*Using measuring equipment to ensure components meet specification.
*Monitoring equipment spares and consumables, replenishing stock when required.
*Responsible for championing 6S and developing a culture of lean.
*Performing & developing PM & TPM activities to ensure continuous operation of machines, monitoring the condition of machine parts, replacing when required.
*To develop ways of working to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
*Liaising with the QEHS & CI Leader to ensure quality standards are being achieved.
*Performing any other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time.

*Environmental, Safety, Risk & Compliance: *To be committed to and champion a strong EHS culture.
*To develop a strong culture of near miss reporting across all staff to assist in driving improvements to the site safety performance.

Qualifications:

*Be confident and experienced in working with: *Bench fitting, Turning, Milling using Fanuc controls, and ideally Siemens controls, Surface grinding, cylindrical grinding, Drilling.

These are full-time positions, 39 hours per week plus a break for lunch each day.

Double Days:
Shift A is Monday to Thursday 2pm - 10pm; Friday 1pm - 8pm.

Shift B is Monday to Thursday 6am - 2pm; Friday 6am - 1pm.

You will be expected to work both shifts on an alternative basis. Some degree of flexibility to working hours will be required in order to fulfil your duties.

Salary up to £30k + 18% shift allowance.
