Building Maintenance Contract Officer

Salary:
£40,200 to £46,068


Permanent, Full Time (40 hours)

Do you have the ability to maintain good customer relations and nurture good working relationships with our clients? Can you make sure works are completed on time and to cost?


Working in the Operations Services, Building Maintenance Team you will be receiving requests from our clients for a variety of different jobs from small maintenance issues to complete refurbishments of residents' homes.

You will need to prioritise these requests and oversee the jobs until completion.

This requires to you balance great customer service and delivering against our residents' expectations whilst ensuring value for money and financial viability.


About the role:

***The Building Maintenance contract officer role is a busy varied role which requires great people and problem-solving skills, clear communication, and workload management skills You will work as part of a team overseeing and delivering vital work for residents throughout the borough.


Experience:
Do you have proven experience and a working knowledge of the building works and construction industry? Do you have experience with managing trade contractors?


Knowledge:

Can you demonstrate a good knowledge of the Health & Safety At Work Act and construction design and management regulations.


Client Relationships - You will regularly liaise with representatives of client sections to seek and obtain work and ensures that targets are met.


Caseload Management:
You will be responsible for all trades, sub-contractors and suppliers as required. Ensuring all work is carried out efficiently and economically within the contract cost.


Building Maintenance and safety:

You will
ensure safe systems of work are adhered to and monitors compliance with all relevant health and safety policies and legislation.


Administration Skills:

You will be Responsible for all administrative tasks associated with the day-to-day contract of the building maintenance team whilst prioritising a high workload manging invoices and maintain records.
