Are you an experienced Integration Engineer seeking a new permanent role? We are supporting a permanent position that is Based in Shalford.
Responsibilities:
- HV systems integration, including commissioning, configuration and fault finding of HV Systems fitted to Gordon Murray Mule, Prototype or Validation vehicles.
- Ownership of the integration of HV components into the vehicle. Ensuring that all interfaces are understood, correctly setup and are using appropriate software versions.
- Work alongside product specialists to review and analyse product specifications and identify areas of optimisation and improvement.
- Management of technical deliverables, project plans and open issues decks for assigned systems to support on time delivery to the vehicle programme. Working with vehicle design teams as well as the owners of the electric powertrain components that createthe traction system.
- Maintain oversight of the vehicle attributes and the functionality provided by the High Voltage System.
- Guidance to ensure that key components are correctly integrated and packaged in accordance with vehicle requirements at a system level. Validation Compliance with any necessary environmental and EMC regulations.
- Management of fault and issues lists to support on time resolution of issues to allow DVPs to complete in a timely manner.
- Specification and development oversight of design features and functions in conjunction with our technical partners, Tier 1 suppliers and colleagues. Support other function groups to ensure compliance with process driven development methods.
- Drive system review, verification & validation activities including leading FMEAs, DVP planning and ISO26262 compliance.
Requirements:
- Significant experience of HV Powertrains (Battery to Driveshaft) within an automotive engineering environment.
- Demonstrable understanding of electric powertrain architectures and underlying principles and technologies including thermal management, HV harnessing, electrical safety systems, serviceability and control strategies.
- Experience in testing and debugging complex control systems using tools such as CANape, CANalyzer or CANoe.
- Experience of system/component delivery within an APQP, six sigma or similar framework (FMEA, DVP, quality planning, PPAP etc) and full product lifecycle activities.
- Articulate, selfmotivated, and able to work well on own initiative.
- Possession of an Electronics, Control Systems, Automotive or similar honours engineering degree. Other recognised engineering qualifications combined with relevant significant experience will be considered.
- Ability to support flexible working hours during occasional peaks of build activity.
- Full driving licence is essential.
