Do you have experience of inorganic or organic analysis using modern analytical instrumentation?

Would you like to work for a growing and successful laboratory with sites across the UK?

Due to significant company growth, my client, a large analytical and scientific consultancy specialising in environmental analysis, is looking to hire an Analytical Chemist.

You will undertake laboratory based chemical analysis of a variety of environmentalsamples using modern, analytical instrumentation.

Techniques used by the Analytical Chemist will include those for both inorganic and organic analysis, and will include ICP-MS, ICP-OES.

GC-FID, GC-MS, GC-GC-MS & HPLC.

This is a great opportunity to grow and develop as you will be cross-trained on a wide variety of instruments, and work within a collaborative team to achieve personal and company goals.

As well as sample analysis, you will undertake routine calibrationand troubleshooting, solving problems and addressing complex analytical issues as they arise.

The laboratory works to strict quality systems and processes, including ISO14001, ISO17025 and UKAS.

This opportunity would suit a fresh/recent graduate or an experienced analyst, at any stage in their career.

To be considered for the Analytical Chemist position, you will need the following skills and experience;

An understanding, interest of or direct experience of analytical instruments such as GC-FID, GC-MS, GC-GCMS, HPLC, ICP-MS & ICP-OES.
The ability to work within a regulated and quality driven modern laboratory.
You'll need good communication and organisation skills.
