Description

Working at our purpose-built food production facility in Middlesbrough, we are looking for a number of Kitchen Assistants to work in our staff canteen.

We are very flexible on hours but the canteen operates from Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm.

You can choose a shift from the following patterns:

Earlies (7am to 12.30pm) 3 or 4 days per week
Lates (12pm to 4pm) 3 or 4 days per week

About the Role

Assist in food preparation and cooking under the direction of the chef
Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils, and work area
Receive and store food supplies and ingredients
Assist in stock management and menu rotation
Follow all food safety and cleanliness guidelines
Assist with dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen
Help with plating and garnishing dishes
Support the kitchen team in various tasks as needed

About You

Previous experience working in a kitchen or food service environment is essential
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
You must be able to handle cash and operate a till system
Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Comfortable working on your own, handling sales and dealing with queries from onsite staff
