THE ROLE:

Provide a consistent and professional service that supports the delivery of the University Strategy and associated priorities.


Ensure the provision of an effective, efficient and sympathetic Student Finance Service with the aim of offering students the best possible student experience, whilst they are studying at the University of Portsmouth, closely aligned to the University strategy and strategic programmes.


Work with the Deputy Director Student Support Services / Student Life and lead the operational development of services, policies, procedures, budgets and functions within Student Finance, providing effective leadership to the team and support the financial management of the relevant service.


Work collaboratively as a member of the Student Support Services Department to ensure an integrated approach to the planning, development and delivery of projects and services including leading and contributing to relevant cross Department initiatives, in line with strategic priorities.

Represent your functional area at key internal committees and working groups and with external stakeholders.
