Our aim is to combat loneliness, the last year has been hard for everyone especially the older generation who have had limited contact with family and friends.
Job Description:
We are looking for Care Professionals who enjoy chatting, going for walks, arts and crafts, cooking, etc.
We need people from all walks of life who are able to offer our clients companionship and build a friendship with them so that when their needs change you can adapt with them and help them to feel 'cared about' rather than 'providing care for'.
All of our visits are unrushed as they start at just one hour and are often much longer.The hours are part-time and can increase over a period of time.
We provide full training and continued training throughout and our team regularly comment on how valued they feel. This may be lone-working, but you are very much part of a team.
Qualifications:
Qualifications and Experience are not necessary but welcomed.
We hold several awards for our training and this will be delivered as a mix of face to face classroom sessions, or direct with clients, as well as virtual.
We are able to provide further City and Guilds accredited training in specific areas such as Dementia, or End of Life Care, as well as having a dedicated Parkinson's course.
This role is very much a part-time position with hours available throughout the day, Monday - Sunday.
